XIAMEN, China – The changing face of COVID-19 here caused the China Xiamen International Stone Fair to move this year's dates from March 26-29 to June 5-8. Organizers of the event's 23rd editioncited the need to go through a transitional period as that country opens back up from strict curtailment of travel. The statement also noted new rules regarding foreign travelers, including a reduction in mandatory quarantine and changes in COVID testing.

READING, Pa. – C.H. Briggs Co., a building-materials distributor with an emphasis on hard surfaces, will cease operations by the end of the first quarter. The closure was announced Jan. 5 by Julia Klein, chairwoman of the 56-year, third-generation company, noting problems with the supply chain and the company''s main supplier. The company will close its five eastern U.S. locations and lay off most employees by Feb. 1
